We Come Before You With Thanksgiving

Lord, we come before you with thanksgiving, grateful that we can enter your courts with praise. Thank you for your grace and mercy each day which allow us to come into your presence. Thank you that you don’t punish us as our sins deserve, but instead sent your Son to take our punishment on himself. Thank you because of all Jesus did for us we can have a relationship with you, our Heavenly Father.

Thank you Lord God that you are a Father to us. Thank you that you provide what we need for life and that you watch over and protect us. Thank you that you love us with a never-ending love. Thank you, too, that as a loving Father you discipline us for our own good. May we as your children submit more fully to love and obey you. May we desire to please you in every way.

Thank you God for the beauty you created that sings your praise. Thank you for the skies above and the earth below. Thank you that the stars in the heavens proclaim your handiwork and declare your power and majesty.

Thank you for creating this beautiful world as a place for us to dwell. Thank you that in your goodness it produces provision for us. Thank you that the earth bears fruit and the skies pour forth rain. Thank you that you designed a seed so that it grows and produces the food we need. Thank you that the plants and trees take CO2  and change it into the sugar and oxygen we need for life. Your design is magnificent.

Thank you Lord for the sun that anchors our solar system. Thank you that it produces the light and warmth we need for life. Thank you that you placed the earth at just the right distance from the sun.

Thank you God that you are all-knowing, all-powerful, and ever-present. Thank you that you look on us with love and kindness. May we worship you as you deserve. May the way we live our lives bring honor and glory to you. We humbly come before you with thanksgiving for who you are.

Amen
