Lord, we thank you for the families that you have given us and the impact they have had on our life. We recognize that our families are not perfect but they are where you chose to place us, whether good or bad. May we forgive any injustice shown us by any family member and strive to become who you designed us to be. May we put the past behind us and truly come alive in you for your glory.
Lord God, thank you for bringing us into your family and showing us what a loving father is like. Thank you that you always act in our best interest whether or not we like or understand it. Thank you that as our Father you want the outcome of our lives to be good. Thank you that you sacrificed your Son to ensure that would be true if we put our faith in him and what he did on our behalf.
Thank you that as your children we are brothers and sisters of those who believe in you. Thank you that as brothers and sisters we are to love one another in a way that glorifies you. It is only as we submit to your headship that we can do that. Lord, enable us to give ourselves more to you so that we can bless our brethren.
Lord, help us as fathers and mothers to be what our children need. May we walk more closely with you so we can lead them in your way. May we love you more so we can direct them in your love. May we know and apply your word so they can see it lived out in our lives.
Thank you Lord that you designed families to be the building blocks of society. May our families be strong in you so that our society will be strong. Show us Lord any way we fall short of the good you desire so that we may repent and turn back to you. Make us into the parents you desire us to be and enable us to teach our children your way.
