Father God, you are immutable. You never change. Despite all that is going on around us, you remain true. No one is as steadfast as you are. We all waver during the unknown, but you are all knowing and all powerful. God, you stay true because you are truth; the only constant we have in life. No one else can claim to be immutable, but it defines all of your attributes.
Teach us to listen and to seek you. Help us learn to be wise, good and merciful. Help us see what is important in this world. Why do we neglect your presence? Why do we seek peace and understanding in places that only disappoint or leave us unfulfilled? You have proven your steadfast love time and time again. Give us understanding, we long to know what your heart longs for.
Give us patience. I pray that we strengthen our relationship with you during this season. I pray that we as a nation would stop being motivated by fear, or comfort. You are the plumbline we need to adjust to, you are the goal we set our eyes on. You are our motivation, you are our freedom and you are our prosperity. Help us become more like you. You are all we need because you are immutable God.
