Lord, the only thing that will keep us on a right and good path is an adherence to you and your truth. Our understanding is so fallible that if we trust in it we will be led down destructive paths. May we truly recognize Lord that you are smarter than we are and may we seek out your wisdom to go your way.
We live in a time when people try to reconstruct reality to fit their own futile imaginations and justify their own sin. May we recognize Lord that we have to see things your way for life to go well for us. Lord, the more we pursue what we want instead of what you want, the more discontent and lost we become.
Thank you Lord that your word gives clarity and understanding. Thank you that when we look to and seek you we gain the wisdom that we need to live life well. Thank you that you lift the blinders from our eyes so we can see reality as it truly is, not what we desire it to be.
Thank you that following your ways leads to good outcomes and a beneficial life. Thank you that pursing you and your truth blesses both others and us. Thank you that through you we can learn to respond rightly to all things.
Lord, open our eyes so we can see the wonderful things that you want to share with us. Open our hearts so we can experience you and your love more deeply. Open our minds so we gain your understanding and can choose to go your way. Lord, help us to understand fully that there is no good thing apart from you and if we are wise, we will seek you with all of our being.
